DESCRIPTION:THIS GIG WAS POSTPONED DUE TO COVID \nSally and Anna met through their mutual friends Fairport Convention with whom both have guested and supported on Fairport’s Wintour (at different times). \nThis tour launches their new album ‘When I Wake Up’. A combination of both songwriters original material. \nSally Barker (vocal\, guitar & percussion) sang to millions as Tom Jones’ finalist on The Voice UK but the singer-songwriter has entertained for years as a member of revered fem-folk group The Poozies\, in the re-formed Fotheringay and as a solo artist supporting Bob Dylan\, Robert Plant and Richard Thompson (and many more). Sally Barker brings any song gloriously to life and also works (at different times) with Americans Vicki Genfan and Brooks Williams and occasionally with Sarah Allen of Flook. \nAnna Ryder (vocal\, keys\, accordion\, guitar & banjo) is a musical dynamo; an original and inventive singer-songwriter with a musical style that\, although based in folk\, spans an array of genres. Amongst others Anna has worked with Fairport Convention\, Eddi Reader\, Julianne Regan (All About Eve). \nSally and Anna are band mates in the trio IOTA with Marion Fleetwood. \n
