Can’t wait to play this gig as my friend Gerry Colvin is coming and will play a floor-spot! Hoorah!
This is the blurb from the venue:
When Dave Pegg from Fairport Convention played at Rosslyn Court he kept on saying that we should book annA rydeR because she would be brilliant here. What could we do?
annA rydeR is an original and inventive singer-songwriter with a musical style that, although based in folk, spans an array of genres. A multi-instrumentalist dynamo, she intertwines this fluency with a poetic and intimate lyricism, communicating her unique take on the world around her. Her captivating stage presence is combined with a playful approach to performing which reaches out to the whole audience.
Attracting various invitations to perform and record with, and for many different artists, Anna is a musician’s musician – Eddi Reader, All About Eve, Jacqui McShee (Pentangle), Fairport Convention, Rabbit Bundrick (Keyboards The Who), Alan Thomson (John Martyn Band, Martin Barre Band), Clive Bunker (ex-Jethro Tull), Martin Brunsden (Hothouse Flowers), Steve Tilston and Bob Fox to name a few.

Gerry Colvin played here recently and enjoyed it so much that he booked to play here again on April 26th 2024 and also to support annA rideR at this concert. He’s a one off. What larks!
Expect a small, friendly, quirky venue with a heart – a bar selling beer, wine and hot and cold drinks and always cake. The venue is on one level. You will be seated at tables or in rows, according to numbers.
The first hour of concerts is livestreamed on YouTube. You can watch it any time after 7.30 on the night of the concert.
The venue is accessible, on one level.
There is usually a floor singer and often a 2-minute community slot informing us of what happens locally. The second half starts with a Q&A and is not livestreamed. The concerts usually finish at 9.30. Please ring for more details. 07902140248
We originally booked Paul Sartin for this date, he was so looking forward to solo shows and his untimely death last year was devastating for not only his family but the whole folk world. To begin with we weren’t going to re-book this date but feel that annA will step into his boots admirably.
