Pre-School Music

As part of my work as a consultant for the musical instrument company Sound Children (Drums For Schools), in 2012 I ran some sessions at a local pre-school in order to continue research into Sound Children instruments for very young children and to obtain film footage and images of children exploring music.

The children, aged 2 and 3, spent time with me investigating the instruments – playing them, talking about them and asking questions. We played some songs together making most of them up ourselves as we went along. I worked with groups numbering 6 up to 12 and we had two consecutive mornings of music.
